Chandler, recently dubbed "The Silicon Desert", is the fastest growing high-technology manufacturing city in the west. It has become an oasis of opportunity with quality employers like Intel, Motorola, Allied-Signal, Microchip Technology and dozens of diversified companies.
Transportation:
Getting around is a snap with four and six-lane streets. Freeways are also under construction in Chandler, ensuring quick access to all parts of the Valley of the Sun.
Shopping:
Retail is booming in Chandler. In 2001, development will be completed on a high-end fashion center featuring Nordstrom, Dillard's and Robinson-May. A second retail development will feature high-end shops and restaurants in a unique open-air mall setting.
Leisure:
Chandler received the National Recreation and Parks Associate Gold Medal Award for its wide variety of amenities. If parks don't interest you, try a little desert boating on Canyon Lake, or an event at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Perhaps a Friday night drag at Firebird Raceway is more your style.
